Hourglass No. 28 Lip Treatment Oil: A Budget Dupe

September 12, 2016

hourglass-lip-oil-dupeHourglass is one of my favorite beauty brands; their products are a cosmetics masterpiece. I love the Mineral Veil Primer and the Ambient Lighting Powders are a staple in my makeup collection. I vacillated over buying the Hourglass No. 28 Lip Treatment Oil for months, lured in by the thick, velvety texture and herbaceous scent but deterred by the hefty price tag. I finally caved in and treated myself to it, and kept it in my bag to use as a luxurious treat on my daily commute. However, a few weeks later, I came across another product that changed everything.

I picked up the Yes To Coconuts Cooling Lip Oil at Target while perusing the cosmetics aisle on my lunch break. It’s a thick, viscous oil that leaves a lingering tingly feeling on the lips. It sits squarely between a lip gloss and balm, leaving a glossy sheen while providing extreme nourishment and hydration to the lips. As much as I love love love the Hourglass Lip Treatment Oil, the Yes To Coconuts Lip Oil is giving it a serious run for its money. While the packaging might not be quite as sleek, the Yes To Coconuts Cooling Lip Oil is virtually the same as the Hourglass No. 28 Lip Treatment. The only other difference is the price tag: the Yes To Coconuts Cooling Lip Oil rings in at $4.99, while the Hourglass No. 28 Lip Treatment Oil tips the scale at a whopping $44!

If you’re looking for a luxuriously nourishing lip treatment to update your beauty routine, look no further than the Yes To Coconuts Cooling Lip Oil! It’s quickly replaced the Hourglass No. 28 Lip Treatment Oil, and at about 1/10th of the price, it’s pretty easy on my wallet, too. Hooray for Target budget finds!
